Cartridge filter

- Applications: This cylindrical filter is mainly used to filter non-ferrous metal and non-metallic concentrates with fine particle size and low moisture content in the product, as well as to dehydrate flotation concentrates. It can also be used for solid-liquid separation of suspensions that are not easy to precipitate. It is widely used in mineral processing, metallurgy, chemical industry, papermaking and other departments.

Working Principle
The cylinder of the cylindrical filter is the main body of the filter. The cylinder of the large filter is made of welded steel plate, the small size filter uses a cast cylinder, and some old-fashioned filter cylinders are made of thick wood boards. The outer surface of the cylinder is divided into a certain number of axially penetrating filter chambers along the circumferential direction by spacers. The chambers are strictly sealed and airtight to each other. The filter plate is laid in the filter chamber. On the one hand, it forms a channel to circulate the filtrate; on the other hand, it plays the role of supporting the filter cloth. The entire cylinder is wrapped with filter cloth. In order to ensure the sealing between each chamber, the filter cloth is embedded in the rope groove of the partition with rubber strips, hemp rope or brown rope. Then a winding mechanism is used to wind many steel wires at intervals of 50-80mm along the axial direction outside the cylinder to fix the filter cloth on the cylinder. At one end of the cylinder there is a filter accessory – the "throat", which has the same number of holes as the filter chamber, and each hole is connected to a corresponding filter chamber through a pipe. The transmission mechanism drives the cylinder to rotate and can change several speeds.
