Working Principle
Principle of air lifter: High-pressure air is filled into the air lifter through the central inflatable pipe. The density of the slurry pipe becomes smaller after entering the air, resulting in a pressure difference between the pipe and the slurry in the tank. Under the action of pressure, the slurry in the tank is lifted to a high place through the air lifter. Generally, in mineral processing and cyanidation production, most of them have abundant air sources, and air lift is used to transport the slurry, which can reduce production power consumption. Moreover, the air lift has fewer wearing parts and is easy to process. Compared with sand pump transportation, it can save a lot of equipment and maintenance costs.

Case Study
In the Zimbabwe 100pd rock gold mine project, as a supporting facility for the leaching tank, the Huston air lifter makes the carbon extraction effect more obvious during the leaching tank, and can effectively prevent the activated carbon from traveling along the direction of the slurry; the carbon screen plays a very good role in isolating the flow of the slurry in the leaching tank and the adsorption of gold by activated carbon, preventing the mixing of activated carbon and the slurry, and adding extra work.
