Advantages and Features

  • The impeller is equipped with backward-inclined double-sided blades, which can realize double circulation of the slurry in the tank
  • The gap between the impeller and the cover plate is large, and the air suction volume is large
  • The impeller peripheral speed is low, and the wearing parts are long
  • The forward-inclined tank has small dead angles and the foam moves quickly
  • The air suction volume is small, and the energy consumption is small
  • The wearing parts are long-lasting
  • It is conducive to the flotation of coarse-grained minerals
  • Mechanical stirring, self-priming, self-priming slurry
  • Can be used with JJF flotation machine It constitutes a combined flotation unit and serves as the suction tank for each operation.

Working Principle

Working Principle

The working principle of SF type flotation machine is that when the impeller rotates, the slurry in the upper and lower impeller cavities generates centrifugal force under the action of the upper and lower blades and is thrown around, forming a negative pressure zone in the upper and lower impeller cavities. At the same time, the slurry on the upper part of the cover plate is sucked into the upper impeller cavity through the circulation hole on the cover plate, forming an upper circulation of the slurry. When the lower blade throws out the slurry to the surroundings, the lower part of the slurry is replenished towards the center, thus forming a lower circulation of the slurry. The air is sucked into the upper impeller cavity through the suction pipe and the central cylinder, and is mixed with the sucked slurry to form a large number of fine bubbles. After passing through the cover plate to stabilize the flow, the air is evenly dispersed in the tank to form mineralized bubbles. The mineralized bubbles float to the foam layer and are scraped out by the scraper to become the foam product. The structure of the SF flotation machine is mainly composed of a tank body, main components equipped with an impeller, a motor, a scraper and a transmission device. Its volume is greater than 10m 3 .

Case Study

Case Study

A copper mine concentrator in Yunnan only uses gravity separation during the beneficiation process, and the grade of the concentrate after separation is low. I was introduced to Huston Mining by a friend for consultation, and finally through the mineral processing test, it was determined that the process was the heavy-flotation process. The SF type mechanical agitation flotation machine developed by Huston is used in the flotation. The design of the forward-inclined tank reduces the dead spots during the operation, speeds up the foam movement, and improves the sorting efficiency. After sorting, the quality of the concentrate was 10% higher than expected, and the subsequent economic benefits of the plant were guaranteed.
